Jenny Hou
Blending business acumen, data-driven insight, and a genuine passion for understanding her clients' needs, Jenny Wang Hou offers a uniquely well-rounded perspective on Houston’s real estate market.
A proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Management Information Systems, Jenny began her career as a Data Management Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), advising global clients on strategic decision-making and performance optimization. Her expertise in data analytics and market strategy gives her clients a distinct advantage — enabling her to interpret market trends, price properties with precision, and negotiate with confidence. Jenny’s approach combines analytical rigor with a personalized, client-first philosophy, ensuring that every buyer and seller receives exceptional guidance and results.
After nearly a decade in consulting, Jenny followed her penchant for the culinary arts as a freelance food writer, founder of the Houston Chowhounds and later as a restaurant owner. She became known as a true Houston restaurant advocate — celebrated for her discriminating palate, hospitality-first mindset and her ability to bring together the city’s vibrant restaurant and “foodie” community through memorable social and competitive events. These experiences sharpened her attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to excellence — qualities that now define her real estate practice.
Jenny believes that real estate is both an art and a science: data informs her strategy, but relationships drive her success.
She currently lives in Montrose with her husband Jerry Hou, an orchestra conductor and professor at The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, and their son who attends St. John’s School. When she’s not advising clients, she enjoys traveling, supporting the city’s thriving arts community and attending classical music performances with her family.
