Why Nino?

 Recognizing the specialized real estate needs of Houston’s corporate workforce, in the early 1980s, Gloria Nino created a company that reinvented Houston real estate as we know it. Founded in 1984, Nino & Associates became one of the city’s first residential and corporate housing brokerages, focusing exclusively on supporting Houston’s corporate relocation industry.

In 1988, Frank Monacelli joined the company as Vice President, bringing his extensive expertise in human resources and corporate relocation. This collaboration fueled a shared vision between Gloria and Frank to expand Nino & Associates into a full-service luxury real estate firm and brokerage, specializing in residential properties as a buyer-focused firm.

Committed to meeting the evolving needs of Houston’s relocating workforce, Nino & Associates identified a gap in the market for temporary housing options, which at the time were both limited and costly. In response, the company launched a new segment: fully furnished apartment accommodations strategically located throughout the city. This initiative led to the creation of Nino Corporate Lodging, Inc. in 1988.

Nino Corporate Lodging quickly grew into a nationwide provider of temporary corporate housing, leasing fully furnished accommodations to corporate transferees, consultants, interns, medical patients, government employees, and others in need of high-quality temporary housing. By the late 1990s, the company’s success facilitated expansion into Dallas and San Antonio, with headquarters remaining in Houston, where Nino Corporate Lodging continues to manage luxury corporate housing and real estate properties nationwide.

In 2012, Nino & Associates evolved into Nino Properties, encompassing both Nino Corporate Lodging and Nino Realtors under one brand.
